Classic Chocolate Chip Cookies

Ingredients
- 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 cup (2 sticks) butter, softened
- 3/4 cup granulated sugar
- 3/4 cup packed brown sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 2 cups chocolate chips
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt. Set aside.
- In a large bowl, beat butter and both sugars until light and fluffy, about 3-4 minutes.
- Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition. Mix in vanilla.
- Gradually add flour mixture to butter mixture, mixing on low speed until just combined.
- Fold in chocolate chips.
- Drop rounded tablespoons of dough onto ungreased baking sheets, spacing about 2 inches apart.
- Bake for 9-11 minutes, or until golden brown around the edges but still soft in the center.
- Let cool on baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
